An overhang is the extra tarpaulin extending beyond the area being covered. It gives you room for securing the cover and helps rainwater run clear. A typical starting allowance is 10–20cm (4–8") on each side.

Tarpaflex Ltd is a family-run business established in 1992 and based in the Devon countryside. We are a leading importer and distributor of tarpaulins, dust sheets, netting, hessian, bulk bags, rope and associated products.
Our stock is held and despatched from our own premises in Devon, allowing us to supply everyone from home users and tradespeople to agricultural and commercial customers across the UK. Our experienced team is always on hand to help you choose the right product for the job.

What size tarpaulin do I need?

Are your tarpaulins waterproof?
Our polyethylene tarpaulin ranges are designed to be waterproof. Other materials have different properties, so always check the individual product description for the cover you are considering.
How quickly will I receive my order?
Standard orders are normally delivered within approximately 3–5 working days. Next-working-day services are also available on eligible orders; current cut-off times are 3:30pm for parcel deliveries and 2pm for pallet deliveries.
Do you offer samples?
Yes. We offer free sample swatches so you can see and feel a material before ordering. Samples are typically around 4" × 4" and are posted by Royal Mail. Order a free sample →
