Making A Purchase

Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our Catalog and add any items that you wish to buy to the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on "Go to Checkout" and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to satisfy the order.

We accept all major credit and debit card payments, as well as payment by PayPal Express Checkout. If you are shopping from outside of the UK, place your order and your credit card company will convert the transaction to your own currency. You can now pay by PayPal even if you do not have a PayPal account. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Switch/Solo/Maestro.

We aim to process your order as soon as possible; however priority will be given to Next-Day deliveries over Standard orders.

When confirmation of your order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.

Our opening hours are Monday to Thursday 8.45am - 5:30pm and 8.45am to 4:00pm on Fridays. We are closed at weekends and on all Bank holidays.

 

Shipping And Handling

Express 1-2 day delivery the charge is £8.00 +VAT, and we need to have received your order by 3pm. Orders received after this time will be processed for despatch on the following working day.

Our 3-4 working day service is charged at £6.30 +VAT.

Consignments are charged at £4.99 +VAT for the Standard delivery service, which is 4-7 working days.


We also offer premium delivery services:

For Next-Working Day by 10:30am, the charge is from £18.00 +VAT

For Next-Working-Day by Midday, the charge is from £11.00 +VAT

*although this rate is dependent on parcel weight and delivery location.* Orders must be received by 3pm.

For Saturday deliveries our rates are from £15.00 +VAT but again this is dependent on weight and location, and orders must be received by 3pm. If you have any questions before placing an order please give us a call on 01409 221192. We reserve the right to contact you in the event of an underpaid carriage charge.

The above rates apply to UK Mainland deliveries only. For all offshore islands including Isle of Wight, Isle of Man, Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, Scilly Isles and Channel Islands, please contact our Sales Office, 01409 221192 for delivery pricing. This also extends to some Highlands locations. Next-Working-Day deliveries are not available to parts of Scotland / some offshore islands.

If our carriers cannot successfully deliver the goods to you a card will be left. A second attempt will then automatically be made on the following working day, however if this is again unsuccessful, the goods will held for collection from your local depot. A third and final delivery attempt can be arranged, but this will be chargeable at the original carriage rate. Our carriers will not leave goods safely unless authorised to do so; therefore if nobody will be at the address to sign for the goods, please advise of a safe place for the items to be left. Delivery addresses can be amended, but again this will be chargeable at the original carriage rate.

Our delivery estimates are issued as guidelines only. Timed deliveries to certain remote areas are not guaranteed. We strongly recommend that no work is started prior to the arrival of your delivery. Tarpaflex cannot be held responsible for the delayed or non-delivery of any items.

The general delivery times for our carriers is 7-30am to 5-30pm although these hours are extended during busy periods, for example 9pm at Christmas. Please ensure you leave any shipping notes where appropriate. This information will be passed to our carriers; however please note we can only operate within their terms and conditions and hours of operation.

 

Delivery Schedule

We aim to process your order as soon as possible; however priority will be given to Next-Day deliveries over Standard orders. We will normally send your order to you within 3-5 business days.

If our carriers cannot successfully deliver the goods to you a card will be left. In the event of non-delivered goods being returned to us, if redelivery is required then a second delivery charge will be payable. For goods no longer required, a refund will be issued less any carriage costs. In the event of no original carriage being paid, a 10% charge will be deducted.

In the event that you do not receive a delivery please notify us as soon as possible and within 14 working days from your order date. Notification outside of this time period means that we have no recourse with our couriers and as such will be unable to provide further tracking.

As we use third party carriers we cannot be held responsible for any delays or no- delivery of the products ordered. All delivery dates are entered into in good faith but are estimates only. Weekends and bank holidays are not included in delivery estimates. No work should be undertaken until the goods have arrived.

 

Back Orders

If your item is not in stock, we can raise a back order for you. Furthermore, if you wish to prepay for an out of stock item we can arrange this and ship once it is back in stock and will contact you accordingly. You will always have the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.

 

Tax Charges

For orders made from the UK or the European Union, 20% VAT is added.

 

Credit Card Security

All credit card numbers are encrypted in the software when the order is placed using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site.

 

Guarantee

All our products are guaranteed to be free from any defect at the time of purchase. If this is not the case we will replace or refund the faulty product.

Disclaimer: 'The Goods' dimensions and sizes may vary slightly. Unless stated otherwise, all our tarpaulin sizes are approximate and are cut sizes. Cut size is an industry standard term for the size of the sheet before it is made into a tarpaulin. We therefore suggest allowing for a shortfall of up to 30cms on each dimension (ie. width and length).

Privacy Policy

Tarpaflex Ltd do not disclose buyers' information to third parties other than when order details are processed as part of the order fulfilment. In this case, the third party will not disclose any of the details to any other third party.

Cookies are used on this shopping site where they are strictly necessary for the site functionality. They are used to aid navigation, and to keep track of the contents of your shopping cart. If you log in to an account, your logged-in status is recorded in a temporary cookie. If you select the 'Remember Me' Option in the checkout, a cookie will be used to remember your details. You can turn off cookies by blocking them in your browser Privacy settings. If you turn off cookies, you will be unable to place orders or benefit from the other features that use them.

Returns Policy

In the unlikely event that you are not satisfied with any goods purchased or have changed your mind about the purchase please inform us in writing (fax or e-mail is ok) within 14 days of receipt of the goods to arrange for their return. We will then send you a Returns form, to be included with the item coming back to us.

Please ensure that your Returns form is sent with the goods, to enable us to swiftly resolve the matter. Once we have received the goods we will inspect them, and providing goods are brand new and unused, issue a refund. The goods must be sent to us unused and, wherever possible, in the original packaging. You should ensure there is sufficient outer packaging of the product to ensure safe and secure transit of the goods back to us, as the returned product must be 'as new' and in a resellable condition. It is the responsibility of the buyer to safely return the goods back to us in a new condition. Credits or replacements will not be issued until goods are received and signed for by one of our staff members.

Please note; original carriage costs will only be refunded if the goods are faulty or differ from what was advertised. Tarpaflex does not pay return carriage costs unless the goods are faulty or differ from what was advertised. If you would like us to organise for the goods to be returned please contact us to arrange this, the return carriage costs will be deducted from any refund due. We reserve the right to levy a fee against goods requiring repacking.

All our products are guaranteed to be free from any defect at the time of purchase. If an item is found to be faulty upon receipt, we will refund or replace the product without charge. Once a product has been used, in the event of a problem we will always request an image, to identify whether there is a genuine manufacturing issue or a wear and tear problem. Tarpaflex cannot be held responsible for damage due to product misuse, or for wear and tear issues. This includes pulled eyelets, damage sustained through insufficient fixing, and degradation of products due to UV.
