Tarpaflex Flame Retardant Tarpaulins Now Available in Finished Sizes

We're excited to announce that our latest import of 200gsm Flame Retardant tarpaulins have been produced to finished size!

Traditionally, tarpaulins are sold by cut size; this refers to the size of the material before it is hemmed and eyeleted. These finishing stages mean that a tarpaulin can ultimately be up to 30cms smaller, to allow for seams and hems. As a result, a sheet with a cut size of 4m x 5m could end up 3.7m x 4.7m.

While selling in this way is an industry standard in prefabricated tarpaulins, we also appreciate that some applications warrant a more definite finished size. Therefore, as part of our mission to offer the best possible tarpaulins available, we can announce that our most recent shipment of FR tarps is produced to finished size.

While there can be a slight manufacturing tolerance on these sheets, this is expected to be no more than 3-5cm. Our customers can therefore enjoy the benefits of a finished size cover, at prefabricated prices!

Tarpaflex Flame Retardant tarpaulins are manufactured to Californian Standard CPAI 84 Section 6 specification. The flame retardant nature of these covers is intended to increase the length of time it takes for the material to catch light, however please note that the fabric will burn if left in continuous contact with a flame source.

With health and safety laws becoming more stringent, our FR tarps are especially suited to the building, construction and welding trades, but can also be useful for recreational and domestic use. They are a great upgrade to your market stall tarpaulin, and can be easily fixed in place with market stall clips.
